Marlin Overview
Large, elongated, streamlined bodies with a prominent dorsal fin and a long, spear-like bill (rostrum). Blue marlin are dark blue, white marlin are silvery-white, and black marlin are dark gray to black. Capable of reaching speeds of up to 160 km/h.

Marlin Life Cycle
Oviparous (lay eggs). Females release millions of eggs fertilized by males. Larvae are planktonic, feeding on plankton. Juveniles feed on small fish and squid. Adults are apex predators feeding on larger fish and squid.
Marlin Taste and Consumption
Firm, dense meat with a mild, slightly sweet flavor. Can be grilled, broiled, baked, or used in sushi/sashimi. Moderate consumption advised due to mercury bioaccumulation. Source from sustainable fisheries.
